About
I am a Clinical Social Work Therapist licensed as an LCSW in Connecticut. I serve the Fairfield County area. I am currently accepting new patients for in person and telehealth sessions. I received my MSW from the University of Chicago in 1976. After receiving my MSW, I worked with elderly clients focusing on geriatric mental health for 5 years. When I decided to become a psychotherapist, I completed advanced training in areas of interest to me including psychodynamic psychotherapy, evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, psychoanalytic object relations therapy and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
Since becoming a psychotherapist in 1982, I have been in private practice providing individual psychotherapy and mental health treatment to individuals experiencing a range of difficulties and mental health problems. My areas of specialization are chronic anxiety and depression, problems with self-esteem, eating disorders, grief and life transitions of older adults. I work with adolescents, adults and older adults. I have also worked extensively with adult children of aging parents and with those experiencing domestic abuse.
I have been a clinical teacher and supervisor of Clinical Social Work therapists and other mental health professionals in training throughout my career and have taught courses and seminars in multiaxial assessment, clinical methods, attachment and trauma, treatment of personality disorders, dream analysis, and multicultural therapy and healing.
